[ He’s not too proud of it, but Jesse does jump just a little when the crow!Reaper lands on his shoulder. Can you blame him? Most every other time they get this close, they’re at each other’s throats (time spent with gaps in one’s memory not included). But there’s only so much damage he can do in bird form, right? ]

Well excuse me for not gettin’ all gussied-up for a visitor I wasn’t expecting.

[Reaper could go for the eyes, since they were unprotected. His beak was solid and sharp, making penetration rather easy if he had enough force behind him, but like this, he was fine for a partial peace. He instead rubbed his beak on McCree's shoulder and then pecked and rearranged some out of sorts locks of hair.

Any discrepancies with behaviour were definitely going to be blamed on being a crow. And wearing a ridiculous hat.]

[And honestly, Jesse had let him in, so he was going to blame the younger man. He fluttered his wings to arrange them, looking far too comfortable as a bird than he had any right too. Unfortunate that his eyes were still red like Reaper's.]

Pockets would be the safest answer. And shedding ones skin for another form is something I've been doing for a long time. It's incredibly dramatic, wouldn't you agree?

He had only forced McCree to dress up fully once, hair done professionally and the young man had never looked so uncomfortable. It had been a good day watching Jesse suffer through political hand shaking and military talk.]
